said, “I see. It is not the pain itself that is
stopping you, Miss Elizabeth, but the fear of
pain. I now realize that you must learn the
lesson of perseverance. You see, Miss
Elizabeth, if you have perseverance, you will
keep trying even though it hurts. In doing this,
your fear of pain will disappear, and your
concentration will improve.”
