When Jeff got off, Ahmed’s friend, Vimal, sat by

him and asked, “Why did you hang out with that

new kid all day today?”

Ahmed explained, “My parents have always

taught me to be considerate of others’ feelings.
When Jeff got on the bus this morning, I could

tell he needed a friend. I just showed him the

same consideration that I would hope to receive
if I were new. And he was really nice.”
