It was a cold winter’s day and Ahmed was on
the nice, warm bus headed for school. The bus
ride to school was long and bumpy, and they
had many stops to make.
Usually, Ahmed sat next to a friend. But today,
he put a large, grocery bag containing his school
project in the open seat next to his because he
didn’t want it to get smashed.
