In a little while, Matthew’s mom came home.
When she got out of her car, she immediately
ran to Matthew and said, “My little Matthew, I’m
so sorry I was not home when you came. I got
a flat tire on the way back from work, so I was
delayed. I hoped that you would be safe and
that you wouldn’t be too cold because I saw that
you had left your jacket on the couch at home.”
