Elizabeth looked out at her classmates. She
remembered the human values lesson about
selflessness that Mrs. Brandt taught them earlier
in the year. She knew that selflessness meant
to think of others before she thought of herself.
Elizabeth then respectfully gave the prizes back
to Mrs. Brandt as her friends looked on in
amazement.
