“Reverence,” responded Mikoto. “My parents
are really big on reverence. Basically, it means
that we respect each other as a family because
we love each other, not because we have to
respect each other out of family duty. This type
of respect creates reverence, which is much
better than dutiful respect because it comes
from the heart.”
